Road Closure – Grove Road, Wickhambreaux – 25th to 28th September 2026

KCC (Kent County Council) gives notice it will be necessary to close Grove Road, Wickhambreaux from 25th September 2026, with estimated completion by 28th September 2026, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approximately 60m and 90m south of Oak Lees, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Grove Road, Grove Ferry Road, Grove Ferry Hill, A28 Island Road, Staines Hill, Island Road, Mill Road, Sturry Road, Tourtel Road, Military Road, Broad Street, Lower Bridge Street, A2050 St George’s Place, A257 Lower Chantry Lane, Longport, St Martin’s Hill, Littlebourne Road, Canterbury Road, The Hill, High Street, Nargate Street, Wickham Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole and cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.
