We have made very good progress with first vaccinations for Cohorts 1-9 and have started to do 2nd vaccinations for the top 2 cohorts and have given around 10,000 vaccines so far.
Second dose vaccine supplies will be delivered to us, usually 11-12 weeks after the first were given. As always, the delivery schedules are not confirmed until a few days before but those who have had their firsts with us should expect contact from us around 11 weeks later to book in their second dose. We are also starting to return to Care Homes to administer second doses.
We have had a good supply of vaccines to deliver locally and many have had the option of booking into the mass vaccination sites as well. People can choose where they attend for their first vaccine and need to return to the same location for their second. You will have heard on the news that there is an expected dip in supplies of vaccines for first doses during April across the whole system. We have been assured, however, that second dose deliveries remain as planned.
