KCC (Kent County Council) gives notice it is necessary to close Grove Road, Wickhambreaux from 08th July 2026 for up to 3 days.
The road will be closed at Grove House, Grove Road – 30 metres either side.
The alternative route is as follows:
Vehicles under 7.5t – Grove Road, The Street, Preston Lane, Preston Road, Preston Hill, A257 High Street, Canterbury Road, Wingham Road, High Street, Nargate Street, Wickham Road and vice versa.
Vehicles over 7.5t – Grove Ferry Road, Grove Ferry Hill, A28 Island Road, Staines Hill, Island Road, Mill Road, Sturry Road, Tourtel Road, Military Street, Broad Street, Lower Bridge Street, A2050 St George’s Place, A257 Lower Chantry Lane, Longport, St Martin’s Hill, Littlebourne Road, Canterbury Road, The Hill, High Street, Nargate Street, Wickham Road, Grove Road and vice versa.
The closure is required to enable water pipe repairs to be carried out by Southern Water.
