You will all shortly be receiving a copy of your invitation through the door but in advance of this, the Annual Parish Meeting for the parish of Wickhambreaux will be held on Tuesday 18th April 2023 at 7:30pm in the Village Hall.
The meeting will hopefully begin with a brief presentation from a guest speaker (to be confirmed). Next, the Parish Council will present its Annual Report on the work of the Council and its Accounts for the year followed by reports from our County and City Councillors, who are often present but are unlikely to be able to participate in person this year due to the upcoming city councillor election in May.
We then invite our village clubs, societies and other organisations to give an overview of their activities. (It would be helpful if organisations can notify me in advance who their representatives will be). I would also be very grateful for a copy of reports to ensure that I do not miss any key items in the minutes.
Finally, there will be an opportunity for residents to raise any matters relating to life in the Parish. If formal representation is to be made to the Parish Council, it must be submitted in writing to arrive no later than one week before the meeting either to the address above or by email wickhambreauxpc@gmail.com.
After the “business” part of the meeting, there will be an opportunity for villagers to meet socially over a free glass of wine (tea, coffee or soft drink) and light refreshments.
