Canterbury City Council announced a new public consultation period for the draft local plan. This runs until 5pm on Monday 16 January 2023. The Parish Council would like to encourage you to read the documents and reply using the CCC public questionnaire so that your view is taken into account.

All the evidence documents is a folder of many documents. If you look at the Draft Local plan, you’ll find that it references the documents. Part of the plan is a radical change in the way that we in Wickhambreux will be able to access Canterbury, this plan is outlined in the Transport Topic Paper (which includes the ‘Canterbury Circulation Plan’).

Reading the documents
I recommend downloading the documents for reading. The PDF reader on your device probably contains better search capabilities, and I find that it’s useful to be able to zoom in on some of the maps so that you can see what is being proposed. To download from the Google drive click on the download icon which appears at the top of the screen when you open the document, it’s a downward arrow pointing to a tray.
